sees as the use-cycle of “all communications technologies.”
How is blogging different, and why does he describe it as a “free
frame of reference”? What is the origin and meaning of that expression? Do you
agree with Halavais regarding the change in perspective demanded by blogging? As
blogging changed and diversified over time, has it become less of a free frame
of reference? How do commodification and stratification affect that ideal? What
would count as greater equality in an attention economy?
